Lake Erie Artists Gallery started out as a small cooperative of five local artists who banded together to save time and money while doing art shows.

We chose the name "Lake Erie Artists" because of the influence of the lake on our lives here in Cleveland. where Lake Erie is just "the lake." All year round it affects our weather, our recreation, our history. It is in sight from most of the downtown area and from taller buildings around Shaker Square.

Lake Erie Artists Gallery became an LLC in late 2005 after moving into an inline store in historic Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland.

In June 2009, we moved our store to historic Shaker Square. Our Shaker Square store is still focused on local artists. (We feature work by Jim Ptacek, Lise Anderson, Paula Atwell, A Piece of Cleveland, William Kless Studios, and Brian Jones.) We offer unique local gifts starting at $10, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or a thank you gift for your coworker. Plus art jewelry, local art, classes and workshops, and custom framing. We look forward to meeting you.
