Keeping shakersquare.net running requires the expenses of web hosting. Keeping its pages fresh and current calls for frequent attention and almost daily contact with the businesses on Shaker Square. Creating new pages takes hours of web programming each month.

You may have assumed that all these costs are being covered, either by the owners of the Square, by the merchants association or by the Shaker Square Area Development Corporation (SHAD). Not so. Since this website went online in February 2004 it has been an independent volunteer effort, with no financial support. (For more on its history, click here.)

The revenue generated by this section of our pages will help keep this website running and growing and allow our other pages to remain ad-free. It is a way to earn income that will also serve the community.

Places to Live near Shaker Square will also assist some of the thousands of visitors who come to these each month and to help those who have property to sell or apartments to lease.
